We require a sessional Functional Skills tutor to support our Maths and English department, teaching young people (14-19 year olds) to develop their skills to achieve their next level of qualification.

 

The centre delivers programmes for students working towards a level 1 or 2 vocational qualification and Maths and English to enable them to progress into further training or employment.

 

Some of the students may have mild to moderate learning difficulties and some have an educational health care plan in place to support their learning needs.

 

We need someone who is a positive and friendly individual to deliver Functional Skills in both Maths and English for a minimum of 2 days per week in the first instance. This is a temporary term time contract that will initially be reviewed at the end of the May with possible flexibility for additional hours.

 

We would like an immediate start for an experienced person, the role is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
