What is the course about?

The Pathways programme allows you to choose up to three practical subjects to try out, including: hair and beauty, health and social care, child care, catering, bricklaying, woodwork, painting and decorating, IT, sport and horse care. You will also work towards qualifications in maths and English in a small group with tasks that relate to the practical subjects that you have chosen. This is all enhanced with the addition of 'core skills' sessions, which help prepare you for the programme, work together as a group and plan your career.

Who is it for?

You must be aged 16-19 (or up to 24 with an EHCP) and be able to demonstrate that you are motivated to learn and committed to the course. 

What qualification can you gain?

  • BTEC Level 1 in Vocational Studies
  • GCSEs or Functional Skills in Maths and English​
